Arviointi: Yep. Luettu ja koettu, eikä enää samaa
uudestaan,, kiitos. Sen verran tästä kirjasta muistan. Tosin nyt täytyy
myöntää, että eipä tämä juonikaan nyt niin kovin kummoiselta kuulosta. Että
sinänsä ei ole mikään ihme, ettei lopputulos ollut mikään päätä huimaavan hyvä.
Kuitenkin, kuten
varmasti jokaisessa kirjassa, oli tässäkin ne hyvät kohtansa. Ehkä se oli paras
kohta omasta lukukokemuksestani kun kirjan viimeinen sivu tuli näkyviin ja
tajusin, että ”Vihdoin, se on luettu!”. Joka tapauksessa olen antanut silloin
tälle teokselle kolme tähteä. Mistähän ne on mahtanut tulla? Ehkä siitä, että
Gow osaa kirjoittaa elävästi ja mielenkiintoisesti. Hän ei jää johonkin
seinätapettiin liian kauaksi aikaa, mutta kertoo jos sen olemassaololla on
jokin tärkeä tarkoitus. Gown teksti oli helppoa luettavaa, vaikka luinkin
kirjan englanniksi. Ja kyllähän se juonikin oli ihan mielenkiintoinen, mutta
jotenkin se vain oli liian helposti-unohdettava (paremman adjektiivin
puuttuessa).
